Probably the most significant project I completed while working as a Project Engineer at Concept Industrial Systems, the Dual Saw System provided to be an incredible engineering challenge. Part of a long conveyance line involving a painting operation for stacks of drywall product, this machine was designed to accomplish three primary tasks. 1. To convey stacks of 4’x8’ drywall panels (up to 6x) via rollers driven by belt / sprockets, 2. to square the stacks with a linkage mechanism and 3. to cut the stacks into smaller pieces with diamond-tipped saws.
